LOVE IT. I did mixed martial arts for a while and this was one of my favorites. Also great for your legs but keep in mind that this only teaches ground work and you’ll need to know some stand up techniques too.

and what would you recommend for some stand up techniques? My boyfriend recommended I join an MMA gym. But do you know anything else that would be helpful?

  1. goodnightrachel answered: Kickboxing believe it or not. It teaches a lot of defensive strategies and it’s fun once you get into it. Self defense classes are good too.
